MascotAI is currently in beta testing. By using this service, you acknowledge that features may change, data retention policies may be modified, and service availability is not guaranteed. We recommend not submitting highly sensitive personal information during this beta period.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing and using MascotAI ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
MascotAI is a college counseling platform that helps students:
- Create comprehensive academic and personal profiles
- Discover and explore universities that match their preferences
- Connect with college counselors for guidance
- Manage application materials and artifacts
- Track their college application progress
3. AI-Powered Features
MascotAI uses Claude (by Anthropic) and other AI technologies to power certain features, including university matching and content assistance. By using these AI-powered features, you acknowledge that your data may be processed by third-party AI services in accordance with their respective privacy policies. We do not use your data to train AI models, and we do not share personally identifiable information without your consent.
4. User Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use MascotAI. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that:
- You are at least 13 years of age
- If you are under 18, you have obtained parental or guardian consent
- All information you provide is accurate and truthful
- You will comply with all applicable laws and regulations
5. User Accounts and Security
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to provide accurate registration information and to keep your password secure.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree NOT to use the Service to:
- Violate any laws or regulations
- Infringe on intellectual property rights of others
- Upload malicious code, viruses, or harmful content
- Harass, abuse, or harm other users
- Impersonate another person or entity
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service
7. Intellectual Property
The Service and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by MascotAI and are protected by intellectual property laws. You retain ownership of content you create and upload, but grant us a license to use it to provide the Service.
8. Third-Party Services
MascotAI may integrate with or provide links to third-party services such as Claude AI (Anthropic), Google OAuth, and university databases. We are not responsible for third-party practices.
9. Counselor Services
MascotAI provides a platform to connect students with college counselors but does not directly provide counseling services. Counselors are independent professionals.
10. Disclaimer of Warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.
11. Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, MascotAI SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES.
12. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy.
13. Termination
We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts for conduct violating these Terms. You may terminate your account by contacting us at pranrosh@gmail.com or using account deletion in settings.
14. Changes to Terms
We may modify these Terms at any time. Continued use after modifications constitutes acceptance.
15. Beta Service Modifications
- Add, modify, or remove features without notice
- Change data retention policies
- Temporarily suspend the Service for maintenance or improvements
16. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which MascotAI operates.
